Materials:
Clay:
White clay is Laguna B-Mix Cone 5
Red clay is Laguna Hawaiian Red
The tan clay is a recycled mix mostly containing these two.
Another clay I got ahold of is Laguna Speckled Buff.
Underglaze:
The majority of the time I've been using Amaco Velvet underglaze. At some point my college switched to using Western underglaze because it's cheaper, but I think it's way lower quality and I had issues with it chipping, bubbling, being streaky...
Glaze:
I'm gonna type up a huge thing about glazes in the near future but almost all of them were housemade at the college; some of them were made by me when i worked there :) two of them were storebought and they will be linked on the pieces that use them. They're in the descriptions of these pieces mostly for my own reference
Kilns:
I made a page about wood firing here, where pieces were first bisqued in an electric kiln then wood fired in tha wood kiln..... but otherwise every other piece was bisque fired at cone 010 (iirc?) and glaze fired at cone 5 in electric kilns. I don't remember what specific models my college had but there were Skutt top-loading kilns and idk the brand blue rectangular front-loading kilns
Wheels:
My college had Shimpo VL-Whisper wheels and these were so cool and swag but they're like $2000... I bought myself a Vevor 14" wheel for $190 and this thing is kinda ass but it was $190.

1. Recycled mix clay, Bert's Black, Clear. The branch used to be black earlier in the process but I accidentally used iron oxide instead of underglaze and it like... blurred out after firing it with clear glaze.
2. Recycled mix clay, outside is Shino under Flake, inside is Shino under Chameleon.
3. Inside is Honey Yellow under Chameleon, outside is Honey Yellow under Pinnel. Underglaze on foot is Amaco Chartreuse
